This year’s TDI data call has an extremely short turn around time, so it is best to be prepared to start gathering the necessary information as soon as possible. TLTA’s email notification to its members on March 11, 2025, explained the situation as a “direct result of the scrutiny that has been placed on the Commissioner’s recent 10% rate decrease ruling and our subsequent appeal in Travis County Court.” TLTA went on to state that “. . . the recent rate order suffered from the lack of published TDI data to demonstrate the massive downturn in the market. Having this data available is critical to proving our case that a 10% rate reduction is not justified.” Currently, the rate reduction is set to go into effect on July 1, 2025.
As has been their customary practice, TDI will likely contact you by email to advise that the Agent Data Call has been issued. However, if for some reason you don’t receive an email on the anticipated date, please go to TDI’s Title Bulletins webpage for the latest information.
